DIY Spa Day

Need inspiration for a spa night or just some recipes for a little self pampering? Look no further, we've got it all here for you!



Ahhh there's not much that can top a pampering session. For me, I like a good book and a bathtub. However, for someone who tries to stay away from chemicals and use clean items, it can be a bit hard to get the "spa quality" items that you may be looking for. Well I'm here to say it is FULLY possible! I've compiled all my spa recipes here and feel free to check out my page on lotions and my page on skin cleansers and masks.


Bath Salts

Ingredients:

  • ¼ cup Epsom salt

  • 1/8 cup sea salt or pink Himalayan salt

  • 10 drops Stress Away or Peppermint essential oil

Instructions:

Mix everything together & toss ½ of mixture in a warm tub.

Stress Away Bath Salts

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup Epsom salt

  • ½ cup baking soda

  • 20 drops Stress Away essential oil

Instructions:

Combine well with a fork & store in glass jar. Add ¼ cup to tub or foot soak.



DIY Body Scent Roller

Ingredients:

  • Amber glass roller-top bottle

  • 30 drops Essential oil of choice

  • V-6

Instructions:

  1. Place oil drops in bottle and fill remaining bottle until ¾ full with V-6.

  2. To use: Roll onto desired skin location as needed

DIY Perfume Rub

Ingredients:

  • 1 Tbsp organic beeswax pellets

  • 1 Tbsp organic jojoba oil

  • 10 drops of your favorite essential oil

  • Small glass container

Instructions:

  1. Melt organic beeswax in pouring glass measuring cup placed in hot water. Stir in jojoba oil.

  2. Add 10 drops of your favorite essential oil & pour into a small glass salve container.

  3. To use: Rub your hand over the mixture & then apply onto desired areas.


DIY Body Wash

Ingredients:

  1. 1 tsp organic jojoba

  2. 1 tsp raw honey

  3. 15 drops Essential oil of choice

Instructions:

Place all ingredients in a pint size canning jar and fill the rest with unscented liquid castile soap. Shake vigorously to mix.


Citrus Sugar Scrub

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup organic coconut sugar

  • ½ cup unrefined organic coconut oil

  • 1 Tbsp. organic vegetable glycerin

  • 20 drops Citrus Fresh essential oil

Instructions:

  1. Incorporate well with a metal pastry mixer, hand mixer on low or fork. Store in glass jar.

  2. Apply to wet skin in circular motion & rinse with warm water (Also good for hand softener)


DIY Foot Scrub

Ingredients:

  • ½ cup organic coconut sugar

  • ½ cup Epsom salt

  • ¼ cup unrefined organic coconut oil

  • 17 drops Peppermint , Rosemary or Melrose

Instructions:

  1. Incorporate everything with a fork and store in a glass mason jar.

  2. Take desired amount and apply to wet feet in circular motion. Rinse with warm water and pat dry.


Achy Muscle Massage Oil

Ingredients:

  • 4 oz. amber glass long neck pump bottle

  • Ortho Sport massage oil

  • 10 drops Copaiba essential oil

Instructions:

Combine all of the ingredients in the glass bottle


-Or-


Relaxing Massage Oil

Ingredients:

  • 4 oz. amber glass long neck pump bottle

  • Sensation massage oil

  • 6 drops Grapefruit essential oil

  • 5 drops Marjoram essential oil

Instructions:

Combine all of the ingredients in the glass bottle.


Replenishing Nighttime Eye Serum

Ingredients:

  • 0.5 oz. amber glass bottle

  • Unrefined organic avocado oil

  • Organic apricot kernel oil

  • 10 drops Frankincense essential oil

  • 10 drops Lavender essential oil

  • 10 drops Lemon essential oil

  • 6 drops Cypress essential oil

  • 6 drops Rosemary essential oil

Instructions:

  1. Add essential oils to bottle. Pour in enough Avocado oil to bring bottle to ¾ full.

  2. Add Apricot kernel oil until contents reach bottle neck. Gently shake bottle side to side to mix.

  3. Apply to gentle eye area nightly before bed.
